Women ask me all the time. “Where’s the best place to meet men? I’m sick of going to bars. All I get is drunk guys stumbling over and asking for my number. There has to be somewhere better?”
Yep, you’re right. There is somewhere much better to meet men. In fact, there are several great places to meet men, and what makes these places so good is you’re already comfortable in them. Not only are you comfortable in them, but you already spend time in them. You might have even run into your ideal man there. Where am I talking about?
I’m talking about places you already go and enjoy. Think about it. What are your hobbies? Do you like to read? Do you like dancing? Are you a keen theatre-goer?
Those are the places you need to spend time if you want to meet the right men for you. If you love dancing and start doing a salsa class, guess what kind of men you’re going to meet there?
That’s right. You’ll meet men that have some kind of interest in salsa. If you’re at the theatre, the chances are any single men you meet there also have an interest in the arts. This is perfect for a few reasons. You’ll already be comfortable in your environment. You won’t feel out of place, and it’s much easier to relax in an environment you enjoy.
You’ll have no problem coming up with something to say, and conversation should flow easily. No more weird silences when you meet someone! And finally you’ll already have something that connects you and the men you meet. A common interest makes bonding a breeze. And as I’ve mentioned before, one of the keys to connecting with a man is to find a way of bonding with him quickly.
Stop hanging out at bars thinking you’re going to meet Mr. right. Yes it’s possible, but when you go somewhere you enjoy, you dramatically improve your chances of meeting him. So what are your hobbies? What do you love doing? What are your passions?
Think down this road and you’ll never struggle to find a steady stream of good potential partners!

About David
1.7 million men & women come to me every month to find the secrets to success. And after 20 years of coaching, I’ve discovered the golden keys to success in dating, business, health and wellness, and life.
I’ve helped millions of men and women around the globe achieve success in their dating, social and personal lives. I’m also a father to the world’s cutest little girl, and I am an unapologetic man. Some say I’m nuts, others say I’ve changed their life forever. One thing’s for certain: I’ll always give you the truth, whether you can handle it or not. I never sugar coat anything.
Nice is so overrated. I’d prefer brutally honest breakthrough to a “nice” rut any damn day of the week. If you’re the same way, then you've come to the right place.
David, you are coming up with topics that I really need. Lately I have been talking to a number of guys in bookstores. So far most of them have not been single, but for the pupose of practicing to open up that is not really important. But I like reading, and it is really easy to strike up a conversation, especially when a guy is standing at a theme-oriented book table.
Also coffee places work good for me. I just needed to be reminded of that.
But what has never worked for me is the theatre. I am an avid theatre attender. Recently I bought 10 tickets for the next three months, and I have been going to the theatre for years. I have started several conversations, but always (without any exception) in 2 min. a female would around the corner and give me this "get away - he is mine" look - which is perfectly fine for me, because I do not want any other woman's guy. I am only wondering where all the single guys are hiding at a theatre.
On 31 December I am going to spend the night at two threatres.....let's see.....
LOL @ the "get away-he's mine" look! It happens to me all the time when their guy aren't even attractive to me ..I'm just being sociable, ya know? Good places are coffee shops, the mall, and the video store is great. Now how to spot if they are single? Hmm that's a hard one.
I have posted above as well (and I have a typo in my name there). I would like to know where other women go to to meet men and if they know any secret tricks for spotting single guys at the theatre. :-))
One other place where I have started talking to men is at historic castle tours. We have nice castles near where I live, and at least people who attend these tours (where the tour guide dresses like in the Middle Ages) have a common interest.
Though I've never visited there much, there is a shopping center with guitar center, Home Depot and best buy in it. Talk about mantopia! there's also Barnes and noble close by. Time to do some man shopping!
