Episode 150: Don’t Donald Trump Yourself!

Subscribe & Listen:

Oh, America the Narcissist. Last weekend we had a great discussion about narcissists, and this week we’re going to tell you who the biggest narcissist of all is: Donald Trump. Love the guy or hate him, that’s what he is.

And you know the thing about narcissists? They can never admit they’re wrong. They’re always blaming others. And if that’s not a perfect description of the Donald, I don’t know what is.

So today, Eddie Palmer and I bring you this reality check: don’t lie to yourself and blame others. Don’t Donald Trump yourself. Listen to today’s episode, subscribe, share it, rate it, and if you want advice from one of the best personal trainers in the world, shoot Eddie an email at eddiepalmer12@gmail.com.

Episode 149: Do You Have Friends or Minions?

Subscribe & Listen:

Well, the NFL pre-season is finally here, and there’s something called the “physically unable to perform” list. Well, here on the 10 Minute Daily Reality Check we have something called the “physically unable to live life” list. It’s full of low-integrity people, people who live off of others and don’t take any responsibility for their lives.

And the question we want to ask is: what the heck do their “friends” think about them? Because true friends will call you out if you’re on the physically unable to live life list. But if no one’s calling you out on your shit, then guess what? You don’t have friends. You have minions.

Join Eddie Palmer and myself for an amazing reality check today, subscribe to the podcast and rate it, share it with your friends, and if you want to get in touch with Eddie shoot him an email at eddiepalmer12@gmail.com.

Episode 148: Be Weary of the White Coat

Subscribe & Listen:

It’s football season again! And you know what I love about football season? No, not gossiping about whether Ezekiel Elliott really fondled that girl.

It’s the commercials. I love these freaking medical commercials promising a pill that’s going to cure my restless leg syndrome, but it’s going to give me suicidal thoughts.

Yeah, today’s reality check is beware of the white coats. Beware of the so-called experts. Beware of trusting doctors without questioning their education, their backgrounds, and who’s paying them (cough* pharmaceutical companies!)

We’re back with Eddie Palmer today, someone who actually does know what he’s talking about when it comes to health, nutrition and exercise, so download and rate this podcast and spread the word. And if you want to get in touch with Eddie, be sure to shoot him an email at eddiepalmer12@gmail.com.

Episode 147: Be Kind Please Rewind

Subscribe & Listen:

Remember Blockbuster? Remember their simple request, “Be Kind Please Rewind?” It basically meant don’t be a shitty person. Treat people with respect.

Well, at some point, maybe once Blockbuster shut down, we forgot about that simple rule. And that’s what today’s reality check is all about. We’re back with Eddie Palmer and we’re going to talk all about the philosophy of “Be Kind Please Rewind.” We’re going to talk about the spiritual laws of success, the Golden Rule, and why so many people these days are just, well, self-centered shitty people.

So join us today, subscribe and rate us in your podcatcher of choice, and if you want to get in touch with my great friend and the best personal trainer on the West Coast, shoot Eddie an email at eddiepalmer12@gmail.com.

Episode 146: The Perils of the Clueless Human

We’re all on this planet to help one another, watch out for one another, care for one another, and help each other along our own personal journeys. But I’ve gotta tell you… so many of these humans are so f*cking CLUELESS!

There’s the woman who’s talking loudly on her phone in the foot massage spa. There’s the man who’s loudly screaming into his phone on the elevator. There’s the guy and the girl who feel the need to check Instagram at every red light they stop at.

And we’re going to talk about all of them, all of these characters who have been plucked out of Seinfeld and put into the real world. Episode 145: Pavlov Travels Down the Past Shit Highway

Subscribe & Listen:

Remember Pavlov? I won’t go through who he was (you can look him up on Google), but basically what he did was program his dogs to expect certain things.

And that’s exactly what modern dating has become. We’re all Pavlov’s dogs who are programmed to date because of our past shit. So today’s reality check is all about taking a walk down Past Shit Highway and clearing it out, because guess what? Dating is not a chore. It’s an opportunity to meet someone new, to have a new and exciting experience.

Join me as I travel down Past Shit Highway with you, subscribe and rate the podcast in your podcatcher of choice, and be sure to come back tomorrow for more radical self-help that doesn’t suck.

In 17 years of coaching, there’s something I know, and this is it: so many of the f*cked up issues that people have today… comes down to their childhoods. It was the programming their parents gave them, which turn into the stories they’re living today.

I’ve had it in my life. And now my daughter’s going through it. So today’s reality check is one from the heart, where I’m going to go deep into how we’re really still the screwed up kids we were twenty or thirty years ago.

I’m at the Orange County Fair with my amazing daughter today, spending over $100 to win stuffed animals that cost less than $1. But you know what? I’m doing it with my little girl. I’m spending time with her, and I couldn’t give a shit about anything else.

So, as the summer winds down, how are you spending your time? That’s today’s reality check, and I’m gonna challenge you to spend it wisely. Because all we have is today.
