Episode 486: Do You Suffer From Speculation Paranoia

Subscribe & Listen:

The Speculation Story is a great topic. There are many examples. Dating is a good one.

Think about when you go on a date. You look at the person and you speculate what you *think* they’re about. You have a preconceived, speculative story of what you think this person is all about.
Think about the little things they do and how you speculate a rejection just because the person left early.

We’ve been taught how to speculate. We create scenarios because we want to know why something didn’t work out.
It helps us feel better about ourselves.

We need to teach ourselves to stop speculating because we don’t always know. We don’t always need an answer to everything.

We didn’t get the job because the company didn’t want us. We didn’t get a second date because the person didn’t like us.

We need to stop speculating and just learn to let things be.

Episode 485: Once In A While Syndrome

Subscribe & Listen:

Let’s talk about a disease a lot of people suffer from, a disease that can be prevented.

The disease is called “Once In A While Syndrome” and it’s a disease that has us “try” something every now and then, something we *should* be doing every single day.

We “try” and then we “cry” because we think that one time didn’t work. Then we give it.
But we only “try” it. We don’t actually “do” it.

The end result always takes care of itself when we do it fully every single day.

Think about trying to quit smoking. We can only quit if we DO it every single day.

If you want to get good at anything, be prepared to get your ass kicked every single day.

We can’t get good at something if we don’t do it every single day.

Episode 484: The Adrenaline Trap

Subscribe & Listen:

Excitement!

In your day to day life, are you thrill seeking?

I’ve always been an adrenaline rush guy when it’s come to most things.

I enjoy the pursuit of something new.

Life takes us into journeys of chaos and we’re always craving more chaos. We’re more comfortable believing we’re going to find success in chaos because we want excitement.

But the excitement comes outside of what we’re truly doing.

Business should be slow and steady so our stress levels don’t go through the roof.

We should all look at where we are in our lives and ask how much chaos we bring in every day.

Do we need this journey of chaos?

We need to simplify things so we can be successful.

We don’t grow in chaos.

Episode 481: How To Live The Zen Of Dog

Subscribe & Listen:

This is for all of people who own pets.

I see people putting their dogs in strollers, bringing them into restaurants, carrying them in Baby Bjorns.

I see people substituting their dogs for other humans. They talk to their dogs like they’re human.

They give up having real children and call their dogs “furbabies”.

They humanize their dogs.

The beauty of dogs is that they have tiny brains and they’re not like us.
I look at my dog on the floor and I’m happy that he’s a happy idiot.

Dogs just and play and eat and sniff asses, and they’re happy.

They don’t have to talk to a girl. They can just sniff them and they’re loved.

Dogs are simple. Cats are simple.

Episode 480: How Did Your Parents Shape You

Subscribe & Listen:

I loved my mom when I was growing up but she didn’t have the best guiding system. My dad just sucked all around.

People will tell me to let it go, but I think there’s a lot to think about when it comes to how we were raised.

Sometimes it’s not our fault if we’re idiots. Our role models may have been shitty role models.

And because if this, a lot of people emulate others. It’s why Reality TV is so big.

We emulate these people.

Bottom line, our fucked up lives made us idiots.
I’m trying to be a better role model for my daughter because my parents were not.

All the things our parents did to us cause us to make repetitive decisions in life.

If we don’t delete that programming, we’ll continue to be idiots.

What do we need to do to grow up and become an adult?

We can take responsibility and become adults.

Everything in life is about mindset.

Episode 479: I Will Not Chew Gum In Class But I Will Change My Life

Subscribe & Listen:

Let’s go down memory lane when back to when we misbehaved in class.

One of the lessons that we learned was that you can’t chew gum in class.

If you did, you had to write down that you would not chew gum in class on the board in front of everyone.

Then you’d have to write it on a piece of paper over and over again.

We’d learn to not chew gum in class because we feared the punishment.

We don’t do that as adults but I wonder if we did it, if we wrote down on the paper that we won’t do something we’ve done, would we stop some of our impulses.

If we want to change an action, we should take a trip down memory lane and remember that punishment and try to reprogram our brains.

The only way to change an old belief system is to maybe write it down a hundred times and we’ll remember to NOT do the thing.

And maybe we’ll reach something better.

Just a thought.

Episode 478: Vagina The Most Dangerous Stimulant Known To Man

Subscribe & Listen:

It’s most dangerous stimulant, the most powerful drug, a drug that causes men to be stupid.

It’s not something you can visually see unless you’re lucky.

It’s something most women will hide no matter what.

What is it about this drug that makes men do the stupidest things ever?

It’s such a desired commodity because of the lack of availability.

Most men work so hard to get it. And when they have it regularly, men don’t want to lose it.

But it causes men to lose everything when they get introduced to a new one.

And yet, some men don’t even know what to do with it.

Why are we absolute idiots for it?

Protect it if you have it. If you want it, treat it right.

Episode 477: The Repetition of Greatness

Subscribe & Listen:
People fear things that will change their lives.
We’ve already been programmed at an early age, and working to reprogram is very difficult.
Repetition makes things become second nature.
We learn this very young.
Tying our shoes, listening to songs, anything we do repeatedly becomes part of us.
But why do we give up when we fail after only trying something once when we know that repeating something helps us succeed?
If we don’t put the work in, we’re not going to reach our goals. The work needs to be continuous like breathing.
We give up when we don’t see instant results and then we wonder why we’re not succeeding.
It’s our subconscious that plagues us.
Try putting everything you’ve got and focusing on what you want like second nature and see what happens.
Allow yourself to crash and do it again.
We can learn anything new and we can learn to repeat it to get where we need to be.
Look at every successful person out there- athletes, musicians, professionals- all practice every day to get where they are.
Practice makes perfect. Try it.

Episode 476: Are You An Adult Baby

Subscribe & Listen:

When children fall, their parents prop them up and that’s how they learn to walk.

When parents remove the training wheels from kid’s bikes, kids fall but they get back up and learn to ride their bikes.

Children get back up over and over again.

Adults are bigger babies.

Adults try something. Adults fall. Adults give up.

This is because so many adults have a loser mentality.

When you have a loser mentality, you cry at the first sign of failure. You quit.

Life does not work instantaneously. We have to fall again and again and get back up each time until we succeed.

Do you choose to be a loser, or will you just BE a winner?

We need to take responsibility for our failures so we learn.

Babies and children don’t blame others for falling on their faces. They just get back up.

Be willing to fall on your face as many times as you need to so you can get back up each time.

Only then will you learn.
