Choose your friends carefullyTry not to have a panic attack, but we’re going to get off the subject of dating today. Let’s expand our minds a little bit. Let’s talk about life success. We can relate it back to dating in a few moments. You’ll see why. I just want to open you up to new possibilities today. So here it is. Life and success is all about teamwork. Your success depends on the team you assemble beneath you.

Before Bill Belichick took over the New England Patriots, he was a mediocre coach. The minute he recruited a man named Tom Brady, the rest has been history. The funny thing about Bill Belichick is he’s a defensive genius. Yet, if the Patriot’s defense had a mediocre year, Tom Brady saved them from mediocrity. 

It’s going to be interesting to see how Bill Belichick’s legacy is affected the second Tom Brady disappears and no longer plays ball. Joe Torre was a 400 manager before George Steinbrenner signed him to be a manager, and before he had millions and millions worth of world-class players underneath him. Torre is now a hall of fame manager.

The key to success in life is the team underneath you. Do you have players that work for you? Are the people you surround yourself with better than you are? Do they have greater skills? Can they teach you things? The most successful people in the world hire above them, not their equal.

In life, when you surround yourself with people who are more successful, more motivated, and more ambitious than you, it’s going to rub off on you. You’re going to want to become as good as them. Not only that, if you own a business, you need to hire people better than you, otherwise you’re going to spend your time banging your head on a brick wall trying to get them to understand what they need to do.

It’s all about assembling a team.  Your team needs to be the best team.  Whether it’s having great friends, whether it’s building a business full of successful employees, or whether it’s even hanging out with guys who are better at dating.  And bringing it on to the subject of dating, you never want to date below you.  If you date a woman who isn’t as motivated and passionate about life as you are, she’s going to hold you back. See?  I made all of you happy.  I was able to tie it into dating, because God forbid we ever expand our minds and talk about another subject besides how to meet somebody, how to seal the deal, and how to have a relationship.

Think of all the people in your life as a member of your team.  Do you have people that bring you down?  People who don’t push you forward?  People who don’t support who you are?

Surround yourself with people who are superior to you. Surround yourself with people you can learn from.  Surround yourself with winners, and eliminate all the losers from your life.  It’s going to elevate your game in life to the next level.  And that’s why we’re all here.  To live life to the max and to be the most successful versions of ourselves we can be.
