How many of you have sat around watching David Duchovny’s character, Hank Moody on the TV show, “Californication” and thought, “If only I could be as great with women as Hank Moody!”

If you’ve never seen the show, David Duchovny plays a cigarette smoking, alcohol-abusing drunk, who seduces women left and right. He has a dysfunctional relationship with his ex, and is a mediocre father at best. Despite all this, every single guy in the world would love to tap into the power of Hank Moody.

Hank Moody can’t have a decent relationship.

He’s probably the last person you’d look to for relationship advice, but there are so many scenes in the show where Hank Moody is on an airplane, and he’ll meet a woman and get laid. Or he’ll be on the set of a movie and he’ll end up in bed with the hottest actress. The funny thing is, he can’t hold a job. He can’t make any money, He’s blow every great opportunity that’s ever come his way, yet guys around the world would love to become Hank Moody.

It’s funny because there’s always a formula in these shows where they depict these guys as ladies men. Every man deep down wants to be a lady’s man, regardless of how fucked up the person is in life.

Hank Moody can’t pay his bills, and has ended up drunk on the side of the road, yet guys everywhere want to be like him. It’s amazing how many guys want to channel that energy. It’s a dream for so many men to go and become this kind of “super hero.”

The problem is, most men aren’t anything like Hank Moody.
