Each time I do a boot camp, there’s always a few guys there that have been studying “pick-up” and they come at me with all these PUA-infused questions.

Naturally, I shut that shit down quick. 🙂

So today’s podcast is all about pick up lingo, pick up routines, why they do not work and why they’re just a temporary band-aid.

I explore the aspect of the pick up world and really go deep into routines and everything else and help you really understand the difference between a routine being authentic and real, and how authentic and real always wins out over a well memorized routine that she’s already heard before.

Ok, I haven't listened to the podcast yet, (no time, I'll listen to it later).. But my theory on pickup is.. These guy use these "PUA" techniques, and successfully pull a girl out of the club, and credit the pua techniques for being the reason, when in reality.. She left with him because she thought he was tall and good looking, and would have left with him ANYWAY. Even I used to pull the occasional girl out of the club back in my 20's, and I had ZERO skills. In fact, to my knowledge, PUA didn't even exist yet. I actually think that studying PUA has made me worse. I don't pull girls out of the clubs anymore because I don't go to clubs anymore. All of my friends are married, and won't go, and I hate going to clubs alone. Plus, I'm old, lonely, and I really have zero interest in a one night stand. Besides, I don't know of any bars / clubs that have any single women older than their 20's in them.

Well Rob, of course I'm not talking about anyone specifically. But take guys that do Mystery Method. Erik (Mystery) tells people that if they don't follow his method EXACTLY but they still pull a girl out of the club, then what they had is a "fool's mate", and that is bad. I personally think it's ALL fool's mate. My point being that some guys do Mystery Method all night long, and end up pulling a girl out of the club, and think "man, this stuff WORKS!", and they won't stray from the method because they are afraid of having a "fool's mate", when they just really lucked out in the first place. By the way,, I've listened to about half of the podcast, and so far, It's been a great one. I totally agree with David... Although I have no idea of what system he's talking about where you're encouraged to approach women and tell them how hot they are and talk about orgasms. I've read almost every pua method out there, and I've never heard of one like that! In fact, most pua methods are the EXACT OPPOSITE of that. The podcast is just way too damn long. I'll listen to the rest later. But so far.. Great podcast. Makes me want to attend the upcoming bootcamp even more.

Amazing blog David. Especially about the excuse makers vs the people who KNOW they are no different than anyone else. I know this is the key. With all the negative/miserable people all over the place it's a constant reminder to not become trapped in that living hell. It's actually really scary that people waste their entire lives making excuses and feeling sorry for themselves.

Happy almost valentines day to all. interesting podcast. i remember when i was about 19 20 i use to watch the pickup artist on vh1 with mystery matador etc. sadly enough he never explained how to form that emotional connection and build into a relationship like david does. i stumbled upon david wygant about last spring and he has changed my confidence and everything. i used to have approach aniety, i was the lurker creeper in bars, i couldnt even approach women. over the summer i read his book naked and basically stripped myself down to the core. i discovered who i was as an individual and really came in tune with myself and learned to love my self 100 percent. i had also learned to be 100 percent open and honest with individuals, one technique that had helped me was going out everyday and just saying hello to everyone i met. old young hot ugly and just getting out of my head, this stuff really does work. as a matter of fact i was engaging in natural conversations with two women at my college named amanda and montana. amanda was 25 with two kids a 4 month old and a 2 1/2 year old. she has just started working out and she is in a relationship with her man of three years. montana is about 19 20 her and her boyfriend are going to a dance club called the saloon im basically showing that engaging and conversating is really that simple.

Hi! David I wish I had discovered you before I discovered the how to lay a girl guide and the Game. I was a lonely, broken 20 something back in 2009. I had a life changing diagnoses two years earlier. It made me feel like I would never connect with people. I also lost a special relationship to me. I read the game and pick up a girl guide. I then met a girl I liked and used the routines to get her into bed. I then fell in love with her and I had a hard time being myself. I had been someone else and wanted her to know who I was. We were together for two years. But, the lies I told had hurt her so much. I felt guilty about that. I tried hard to be a man she would love. I eventually stood as myself, naked and wretched before her. I wasn't what she wanted and she left. I hate that I used pick up to get her. I do value that the book, the rules of the game, helped me with techniques to speak better, and read people in a good way. Because, of that I could read a situation and even my ex really well. I love her so much and gave her my all. I just wish I could go back in time and tell my idiot self to love myself first before I went looking for a woman. Maybe then me and her would still be together. Because, of what I read here and listen to, I have been learning to like and love myself for who I am. Being something other was just plain wrong. But, it was who I thought I had to be to be loved. No one tells you to love yourself first, then be yourself. They just say, be yourself. I accepted that woman for who she was, warts and all. I like what you are saying, because to be real, you need to first like who you are and just live life. Life has no guarantees, just the efforts of trying and being curious. Visit South Africa sometime.

David, I think I know which video you're referring to in your podcast. The only thing I got from it when I watched it was that women are still going to be polite to you, even if you approach them and they're not particularly interested in you. So really a guy has nothing to lose if he approaches a woman, because even is she's not interested you're not going to be publicly humiliated.

PUA lingo, reminds me of someone who is a CIA operative...lol Terms like "target" or "set" when referring to a person whom your interested in talking to. I think I may have seen that video with that guy chasing women on the street. Yea, he was getting numbers but I too was wondering, if those girls were calling him back... I highly doubt it, considering he wasn't connecting with them. PUA is a marketing scam that makes desperate guys even more desperate. Because when their scripts don't work, they blame who? Yep, the guy who bought their product because they tell them, "we tried it thousands of times and it worked for us..." You like well, I get the numbers but no relationship. And they are like, well...you got to buy product number 2 for that...lol One of the things I love about David's stuff, he doesn't teach how to be depended on his products! They are teaching tools, not magic pills where become the best of yourself, to find that special gal or guy to be with, to spend time with, to get to know, this is how relationships happen, this is how friendships happen. This is totally not John...lol :)

i seen this pua video called the game. the guy was such an asshole to his clientel. hed invite them on stage and then ask them these questions like name the three stages of attraction, name the 4 levels of escalation. he learned his stuff from mystery, then he flipped it and taught what he knew. after watching david the genie wygantor ill never go back to pus and what do u guys think of david dangelo

Hello, I think alot of women out there are getting smarter to the so called PUa's. Meaning... these babes(or their friends) have dated a pua or 2 and know the typical Pua lingo buzz words. Unless the babe is real horny, thus any guy will do, i think most babes hate typical Pua's and will avoid these guys. jr

Hey David, Didn't get a chance to listen to the podcast yet, but this topic definitely strikes a chord with me. I've always hated the PUA lingo and stay as far away as possible. I feel it's harder to work with guys who are already so caught up in that world because they can't get their mind out of that way of thinking. Plus I feel like referring to women as "targets" and "sets" dehumanizes them, it feels like being in the military as opposed to trying create a genuine connection with someone. Just glad to see someone else agrees!

Just looked at other people pick up knowledge. Pua shit. I see a reaallyy biiigg diifference between David's teachings and a pua person. David = Natural. PUA = Scripted. I put this randomly because I had to see other stuff just to see what its all about And because of.it. I feel like sticking to David's teachings more. I felt so unnatural when pua said what to say and shit.
