What to Wear on a First Date

As you know, men are extremely visual. We are ridiculously visual.
A low-cut silk blouse that you love may be the most distracting thing on a first date. The office pantsuit that you wear when you’re meeting him for a cup of coffee or a drink after work just might turn him off because you look too much like a dude or Hillary Clinton in it.
First dates should really be about wearing something that makes you feel good, makes you feel sexy, and lets you be comfortable. Plus you want to give him a sneak preview into the way you actually dress when you’re not at work. That’s why I never suggest meeting a man after work in a business suit.
I always suggest wearing something very simple and not overly sexual or over the top. A skirt and blouse, a fun t-shrt with a pair of jeans, maybe a low-cut sweater. Something casual. Something flirtatious. Something so he can see your curves but still leaves something to the imagination. Something so that he can dream about the way your curves are going to feel. Nothing that is too in-his-face.
So many times women will wear shirts that are so tight, unbuttoned so the bra is peeking through or visible through the fabric, the jeans are so tight that it’s riding way up her butt, or her cleavage is popping out of her dress. Now that’s wonderful on a second or third date, when the heat is picking up a bit and you want to tease him a little.
But on a first date you want a guy to have eye contact with you. You don’t want to distract him. You don’t want him thinking more about sex than he already is. You want him to be able to relate to you.
You want to date a man who’s in control of his sexual urges, so leave the spray-painted-on dress in the closet. Lay off the really low cut blouse with your boobs popping out and wear something that makes you feel like a beautiful, sexy woman. Allow him to fantasize about your curves, not see every single one.
