It a popular but misused term in today’s society. It seems to be a destination for so many men. So many men want to be an alpha male. Can you imagine if the world was full of only alpha males, what that would look like?
If it was the commonly thought of definition of an alpha male, there would be conflict nonstop. A real alpha male does not have any traits in common with the perceived alpha male. What is the perceived alpha male?
The perceived alpha male is a guy that can go out and meet any woman. He can go to bed with any woman. The perceived alpha male is usually successful. He is brash. He is full of ego. But a real alpha male is a man who lives through his heart. He understands that his journey as a man is a much deeper journey than conquests. A true alpha male is a man that wakes up every single day with a sense of purpose. Every day to an alpha male is another day to experience amazement.
It’s another day to experience the beautiful gift called life. To connect with people on a deep level. To inspire and to help people and be generous. There are a lot of wanna-be alpha males out there. The other night I was at a dinner party and there was a bunch of alpha males in a corner. They all had their nice watches on, they were dressed well, and were trying to out-alpha each other. One guy was talking about his business, how much money he’s made this year. What his conversion rates were in his business, and how all his customers loved him.
What Does It Mean To Be A Real Alpha Male?
The other alpha male tried to one-up him. He was talking about how much more money he made than the other. And this went on for hours. Each man out-alphaing each other. Each one had a hotter girlfriend than the last person’s. Each one got laid more than the other. Each guys house grew bigger and bigger by the minute.
That is a room of men that are full of ego, and that’s not a true alpha male. The true alpha male could care less what other men do. The true alpha male is secure. The true alpha male is in touch with himself. The true alpha male lives through his heart and understands that being an alpha male means being a leader. A true alpha male connects with people’s emotions and respects them. The true alpha male doesn’t get into pissing contests.
It’s funny. So many guys want to be an alpha male, but I don’t think they understand the true definition of one. An alpha male is a man that understands the importance of dropping his ego. See, I was always an alpha male. I was a pissing alpha male for a while. I was a bragging alpha male for a while. I was a one-up alpha male for a while.
I’ve been a lot of different versions of the alpha male. What I finally realize as I get older is that a true alpha male is a man who lives with his heart. An alpha-male to me is a man who is comfortable enough in his own skin to drop his ego. A man that is sympathetic and generous to others. A man that is unafraid to be a leader.
Which one do you want to be?
