1.7 million men & women come to me every month to find the secrets to success. And after 20 years of coaching, I’ve discovered the golden keys to success in dating, business, health and wellness, and life.
I’ve helped millions of men and women around the globe achieve success in their dating, social and personal lives. I’m also a father to the world’s cutest little girl, and I am an unapologetic man. Some say I’m nuts, others say I’ve changed their life forever. One thing’s for certain: I’ll always give you the truth, whether you can handle it or not. I never sugar coat anything.
Nice is so overrated. I’d prefer brutally honest breakthrough to a “nice” rut any damn day of the week. If you’re the same way, then you've come to the right place.
Absolutely! Instead of having some weak, wimpy, mousy voice like Michael Jackson did(hey, it's the truth)which in the real world would never turn a woman on, listen to a charismatic speaker, whether it be a famous politician or world leader or a well trained actor. FDR was wheelchair bound his whole presidency, but he had a great voice. Or Churchill, whose voice was often more like a growl.
Or watch Russell Crowe for instance in Gladiator or Robin Hood now. Gerard Butler from 300 or Mel Gibson from Braveheart. Even if they didn't have movie star good looks, if you were blind and all you could hear was their voice, you'd still want to follow them into battle!
"Two weeks from now, I will be at home, harvesting my crops. Imagine where you will be and it will be so! Hold the line; stay with me! If you suddenly find yourself riding through a green field with the warm sun on your face, do not be troubled. For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead! Alas, what we do in life, echoes in eternity!"
So work on projecting your voice and reading out loud to yourself for practice or even practice changing your tone & pitch by reading a kid's story book as David once suggested. Work on projecting it and varying the pitch, volume, etc.
Listen to some of those speeches in the movies mentioned above if you want to get pumped up too. And Denzel Washington from Remember The Titans or Viggo Mortenson's(Aragorn's)speech outside The Black Gate. No wimpy or monotone voices in those either. Your voice CAN have power!
Can anyone let me know why every time I say something to a woman,They turn around at 300 mph look at me and laugh when I say something? Then they talk....why do they laugh/giggle before they speak? Do they think it's hilarious someone approached them?
Hey Kevin, maybe your fly's open?
Just kidding man :)
Maybe it's 'cause they're surprised? That would be my guess.
Cool podcast today, David! Sometimes I soften my voice to seem non-threatening, which is lame, I know, trying to stop.
When a man speaks to me like you described David its powerful. I give him all my attention. Also remember guys you don't want to sound too overpowering with your voice because that can turn women off.
Julia- its nice to see a female comments on here. I tend to sometimes be more than what i'm not. I gotta watch that. I agree that too much of anything is no good.
I've always envied men who naturally have a lot of bass in their voice. Basically, I want mine to be some sort of a mash up of Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe. Actually, I wouldn't mind looking like either of them (preferably Hugh Jackman if I had my pick).
I've spent most of my time working on developing my singing voice, but I have been putting some time into my speaking voice lately. Hopefully I get the results I'm looking for.
Voice tone is powerfull,
I am now working on constantly maintaining my bass voice. I try not to pitch it up, cause when I do, it comes across as seeking approval from other people.
The day before yesterday I went to a store to buy lip balm. The shea butter and mango flavor lip balm are off the hook by the way :).
As I walked over to the store klerk, I asked her in a very deep voice:
Exuse me miss, where can I find the (pause..) lip balm.
She immediately began flirting.
Oh and by the way. It's my birthday today....23 years old....
Gonna try you it...if your for real you got a deal....I must say though I am quite taken up by your enthusiam to give good advice...lets see if the truth is out there...
Cheers
Pablo
Collin,
Thanks man.
Jacob,
Thanks.
I went shopping today. Bought new shoes and such.
Later on, I am going to my capoeira class, because in two weeks my group's event will take place and some people are going to get new belts. There is a chance that I am one of those people.
Had a great and relaxing day:)
This is a great podcast! I have been dealing with a low, weak tone of voice problem for many years. I work as a cashier at a Bakery Cafe and to this day i still catch myself speaking very low toned at the beginning of my shift. The reason I notice is because people always ask me to repeat what I just said. In the past i would just stay quiet, shy away, not make any eye contact, but now i just remind myself in my head "gosh, what a sexy voice you have, girls love it and they want to hear you talk all day" that automatically boosts my confidence, makes my tone more assertive and i get a'lot more tips through out the morning.
Yeah, again my voice tone is so low, i have to get girls to tell me what were you saying again?. I guess all work on that voice tone of mine. I have so many things to improve myself on its not even funny i mean i should write a list of what i should do, maybe i need to work on my body too cause i feel like it still ugly my stomach is blugy a little but my dad and mom says it okay, but why do i listen to them when i want it to be flat not bulgy.
