Nick Foles won a Superbowl.
If you told me or anybody else at the beginning of 2017 NFL season that Nick Foles would be standing on the podium outdoing Tom Brady, winning the MVP of the Superbowl, I would have looked at you and I said, “What team is Nick Foles even on?”
It was an under the radar signing from a guy that who’s had his career ruined by Jeff Fisher, who’s probably one of the worst coaches to coach of the last 17 years. He was the quarterback non-whisperer.
He couldn’t develop a quarterback and, basically, he was about as good as any Jets coach ever was.
Jeff Fisher would have been the perfect Jets coach, because the Jets have never developed a quarterback. See, Jeff Fisher should have been the Jets coach for all those years.
He took Nick Folds, who had a great year under Andy Reid with 29 touchdowns and 2 interceptions.
And guess what? He turned him into an absolute mess. He failed miserably. He was going to quit the game of football.
But Doug Peterson, his ex quarterback’s coach, actually signed him to a two year contract and said, “Listen, you’ll back up Carson Wentz. We got a good thing going on here.”
And he went back to the Eagles.
And the rest is history.
You know, I could sit here and I can write wonderful words about Nick Foles. And I could tell you so many things about him and how I greatly honor and respect his attitude.
But I’m going to tell you something that’s even more important.
For all of you people that complain nonstop and are afraid of failure: I want you to truly watch this. Because you’ll never get anything you want in life unless you’re willing to fail on a daily basis. And I want you to listen and I want you to watch what Nick Foles had to say in this recent interview.
Men, women, children, I don’t care who’s reading this blog post.
I want you to literally watch what Nick Foles has done. It’s going to blow you away and it’s going to give you an attitude change. One that you truly need.
It’s time to get off the world of Facebook and Yelp reviews.
It’s time to embrace yourself, your successes and failures, everything that you are.
