Today, I’m going to get you to think about dating and men in a different way. First, when you’re done reading this post, I want you to walk to your closet and your chest of drawers. And I want you to look around and see how many pieces of closing you have that still have a tag on them.
Then I want you to look at that clothing, and I want you to ask yourself, why didn’t you return it. Was it an impulse buy?
Was it something that looked great on the mannequin, and you just wanted it. Was it something that was super trendy, and would have looked good 10 years ago, but you’ve actually gotten a little too old for that look?
Was it something your friend convinced you to buy, or you bought it for a specific guy, and the date never came through?
Now, I want you to look at your dating life. Men are no different than trying on clothes. Certain men are just going to fit better; while other ones, no matter how good they look on paper, no matter how good they may look in the bedroom, they just don’t fit you.
So why do you keep them around?
Maybe you tried dating somebody that used to be good for you. And instead of returning him instantly, you keep him around, and you sampled him a little too long, and he just never fit. I want you to start thinking about all the clothes that are hanging in your closet. I want you to go through a little bit of a cleansing with them. I want you to think of them as men standing there in the closet.
I want you to go home tonight, or if you’re home right now reading this, and I want you to try those clothes on. I want you to look in the mirror, and I want you to evaluate how they fit. Do you feel your ultimate best?
Do you feel warm, fuzzy, sexy, and amazing?
If you don’t, I want you to take those clothes, no matter how much you paid, no matter how much that price tag was, and I want you to take them back. If you’re lucky enough to have bought them recently or bought them from Nordstrom’s, you can bring them back indefinitely. If not, I want you to give them away, tag and all.
Then, what I want you to do is I look at dating the exact same way.
I want you to look at all the men you’ve dated, and I want you to realize that you could have returned them a lot faster. I want you to start shopping for men in a whole different way. I want you only to go out with the men that feel great when you try them on. Only go on second dates with the men that make you feel wonderful, sexy, amazing.
The men that don’t feel that way, no matter how good they may look in the store, or no matter how good they may look online, or no matter how good they may look on paper. I want you to be able to bring them back instantly and allow somebody else to wear them. Watch today’s video for even more insights on how men are like returning bad clothes.
