I was having lunch with a friend the other day and she started getting upset in the middle of our meal.

She looked at me and said, “The guy I’m dating right now has been great. I just feel like I’m never going to get better.”

I looked at her and said, “You’re beautiful. You’re amazing. You’re still young.”

She responded with, “I’m 40. I haven’t met him yet.”

And I said to her, “Because you haven’t been ready to meet him yet.”

You see, great men truly do exist. They really do. Evolved, beautiful, heartfelt men are out there. They’re out there but you just haven’t been ready for them yet.

You Need to Be Great First to Find Great Men

great men do exist You see, in terms of finding that great man, you need to really be that great woman back.

You need to be open, warm, loving. You need to not be afraid.

You need to not have the expectations of what you think the perfect guy is and really just allow him to come in because there is no perfect. So let’s change the wording from perfect to amazing. To get that amazing guy is completely possible. He’s truly out there and he’s waiting to meet you. As a matter of fact, he’s knocking on your door right now. Hurry, go answer it. Made you think, huh?

How do I know he’s out there? Because I meet great men every day. But it takes you to be great first. It takes you to open up. It takes you to start seeing who you are.

Let Go of the Fear

When you go out on a date with a guy, don’t be so afraid. When a man comes, it’s really good. Don’t be so afraid. If a man texts you the next day and tells you he had a great time and wants to see you again, text him back and tell him you want to see him again.

Don’t be so afraid. Let go of your fears and learn to be your best.

We all want love. We all desire love. We all want to be loved. But we all have to start being open and just being real with it.

I can so relate to this post! It seems that I have been waiting forever for my soul mate. I even have dreamy, romantic Pinterest boards about it titled, "Waiting For Him" and "Finding Her Prince." With each decade that passes, I think to myself, when will I meet this guy? Will I ever meet him? Does he even exist? I have had false meets, crushes that were disappointing, expectations to overcome, and lots of growing. Does that make me a young soul? In caring for my Mom, I learned how to serve. I also had to get physical. And more comfortable with words of affirmation. Learn quality time and the receiving of gifts because Mom's needs required that I love her in a different way than before. I've also become more open so that I can live differently and let more love into my heart. That said, is my SP really knocking on my door? I don't see him. Is he a phantom? An illusion? Or still a dream? I think I better finish my cleanup just in case he appears.

There are PLENTY of really great guys out there. The problem is that women don't want them. In the US, only about 15% of men are over 6' tall. That leaves 85% of men that women have ruled as undesired, and UNDATEABLE. Only roughly 33.8% of American men have a college degree. That leaves nearly 2/3 that don't have a college degree. All women DAMAND that a guy they date are over 6' tall (even Wygant implied it, in another post), and MUST be college educated (Rich), now take out all the guys who are married, take out all the gay guys, take out all the guys with unattractive faces.. And you are left with a tiny sliver of the male population that women DO NOT WANT. It doesn't really matter, because 100% of all women are taken anyway (or at least they say so if you are one of the "undesirables ", like me. Women have NOTHING to complain about.

Hi John, if you're listening, I think you would blossom with a man maker. For you, a man makeover might involve the following: 1. Get your hair styled somewhere differently by a different stylist so you see a different you. 2. Go to Macy's and have the salesclerk help you find an updated/flattering look or two. Be sure to look for the discounts. If you can't afford to purchase the attire, look for similar styles elsewhere. 3. Listen to CDs/ read books on self-esteem/positivity. Here are two book recommendations written by male authors: -- "Make the Most of You: 170 Ways to be the Best You Can Be" by Patrick Lindsay -- "The 100 Simple Secrets of Successful People" by David Niven, Ph.D. You can probably order these online at Amazon.com. If you're on Facebook, here are some inspiring groups to "like:" -- The Positivity Garden -- Positivity for Smart People -- The Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem Bible Eventually, you'll think better about yourself and see that you really are a Swan!

Finally, a man makeover would not be complete without a new pair of glasses. That means a visit to the optical shop. Get a new pair of frames with all the bells and whistles meaning high index, thinner lenses, anti-glare coating, etc. I know it's expensive but so well worth it. You'll instantly feel so much better about yourself because you'll look sensational! Others will notice! I can't stress how important it is to have an up-to-date snazzy looking pair of glasses. Be sure to ask the optician for help with your selection. You'll feel like a new guy! And look like one too!

See... Days have passed, and not a single argument, or a disagreement from women on this site. That means they are 100% in agreement with me. Women admit that they don't want all of these great guys out there, and that they are all incredibly shallow, and not worth pursuing anyway. So, for any guy who isn't tall, rich, and incredibly good looking... I hope you think twice before wasting your time, and money, persuing women, who admit that they just don't want you. Thank you ladies.. Your silence speaks volumes.

Actually, John, I would have spoken up but I really think that you prefer Caroline to talk to you. Besides, your story is old. Like a broken record. You're stuck in your negativity and can't see a different perspective. Everything I say falls on deaf ears. You see only what you want to see. If you look for the negative, you'll find it. That's what you're doing. You're shortchanging yourself and limiting your life. Start focusing on and looking for the positive. You'll be happier and inspired. If you really look around you, you'll see men of all heights, education levels, appearances, and incomes in relationships with women. If your lack of an education is bothering you, then do something about it. Go back to school. Enroll part time. You'll expand your horizons and meet new people. BTW, college educated doesn't always equal rich. The two are not synonymous. Previously, I have given you examples of short men who have girlfriends/wives and who lead happy lives. Short men are everywhere to be found with happy, happy women. I have also said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and that personality trumps appearance. The more a woman gets to know a guy, the more she finds him attractive. Therefore, do not refine on your appearance. It is NOT a deterrent. Besides, many of the women here on this blog told you that you're cute, that they like your personality, and that you're fun and witty. Sadly, you don't know how to graciously accept compliments. My new favorite quote is: "Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart" by Kahlil Gibran. You should ponder this quote. A person who is truly beautiful radiates beauty from within regardless of their appearance. When you're not thinking negatively about yourself, you radiate beauty and light up this blog! It's wonderful to have you here!

My dear Vonnie, I come back to read this blog and see that you are soldering on with your kindness and your class. I cried when I read your post to John because you just try so hard AND you put me to shame. You see, I left a response here a few days ago and my comments were put under moderation and they were not published. Good thing also... So thanks Mr Wygant and good call!! I meant every word that I wrote btw but they were unkind and written out of sheer frustration and anger. They had no place here. Basically, I was venting big time. I like to think of myself as kind and classy but the difference between you and I Vonnie is I have very little tolerance for BS and stupidity...It brings out the worse in me and it's not pretty. So my sweet Vonnie, keep on shining and being so differently you and thank you!! Thanks again Mr Wygant and once again, good call!!

Hi Chris, It's wonderful to talk to you again! Thank you for the compliment! It raises my morale even higher! Yes, I am still here because David's blog is a sanctuary, a refuge, a joy, and an inspiration. A home on the internet for me. And a school as well because I learn lots of things here too. David is a great teacher! I can identify with John. When I was younger, I suffered the ugly duckling syndrome. It is just a syndrome because ugly ducklings are really swans. Sometimes, it takes awhile for the duckling to see their swan self. I think a man makeover would be so helpful to John and give him a lift. More on that later. Meanwhile, I just say what I see and feel which comes from my experience. We all have issues to work on which is why David's blog calls to so many of us. It brings us together to help one another. Isn't that wonderful! I hope you keep coming back. It's been lonely without you!

Go ahead Dave.... Clear Chris's post. I want to see the angry, seething hatred that spews from women when confronted with facts, and the undeniable truth. Show everyone the cursing, the insults, the threats, and the boiling anger that I'm sure was thrown at me. Hey, you've never let me take back any post that I made, and later regretted, so let's be fair here. Clear the post through moderation. It's the only decent thing to do.
