The other week, I was out in Palm Desert, and two nights I was awoken by domestic violence in the rooms around me.

It’s one of the scariest things in the world to think about, honestly. The fact that someone could do these things to someone they claim to love. And the women in these relationships — it’s not their fault — but the women stay in these relationships because it becomes their new normal. And that’s something equally scary, that something like abuse could become “normal.”

So today, we’re going to talk about abuse in relationships. The different types of abuse (emotional, physical), what causes it, and how to end it.
