How does this quote pertain to your life?
People have a hard time letting go of their suffering. Out of a fear of the unknown, they prefer the suffering that is familiar.

About David
1.7 million men & women come to me every month to find the secrets to success. And after 20 years of coaching, I’ve discovered the golden keys to success in dating, business, health and wellness, and life.
I’ve helped millions of men and women around the globe achieve success in their dating, social and personal lives. I’m also a father to the world’s cutest little girl, and I am an unapologetic man. Some say I’m nuts, others say I’ve changed their life forever. One thing’s for certain: I’ll always give you the truth, whether you can handle it or not. I never sugar coat anything.
Nice is so overrated. I’d prefer brutally honest breakthrough to a “nice” rut any damn day of the week. If you’re the same way, then you've come to the right place.
Lately I'v been actually trying to find my suffering and bring it up and out. I think this quote says about letting go of your inner suffering. I do it by writing. Also I see the suffering of not taking a chance, a risk of stepping out to meet someone or procrastinating work and then getting upset by it. I am huge procrastinator, and I am not proud of it.
I've definitely suffered from a fear of the unknown. Used to be too scared to go anywhere or do anything (by that I mean go somewhere interesting or do something interesting). For me it changed by deciding that I want to be better and I faced my fears and did my best to improve myself and my life.
Like a good friend of mine always tells me: "It's all in your head."
That thing we fear is only REAL in our head, but not REAL in the outside world.
Some have fear of flying.
Some have fear of approaching people and talking to them.
But it all comes down to the story you tell yourself in your head.
yo, bobby. not ALL people are fearful of the unknown. I disagree with you that ALL people have a primal fear of the unknown. I as well as others are "mavericks" in life and don't fear anything. Don't include me in your selfcentered point of view of fearing the unknown. David, I commend you for posting this quote and I am glad to tell you it does not pertain to me. Merry christmas
Jacob,
One of my worst fears was the fear that I would die soon. It happend in 2005.
It lasted like a day. It was a thought that turned into a belief in a couple of seconds. I started to feel all sorts of crazy stuff. I rushed to the doctor. He looked at me, did some tests and said I was okay.
He told me it was all in my head :)
This reminds me of the book 7 spiritual laws of success by Deepak Chopra...I do door to door selling and I feel like when I suffer from rejection, in the end of the day I will always get one or two people to buy. I believe you have to go out there and take hits and suffer so you can grow. you can not be scared..This has made me grow a lot and made me a better man.
thanks for the quote:)
Happy holidays David.
to me it means that people will have a fear of something but they would rather keep living with that fear than do the thing that they fear.
good quote dave
