louis ckHave any of you seen the recent standup show on HBO from Louis C.K.

It’s called “Oh My God,” and if you haven’t see it yet it’s really worth checking out. Louis is a very intelliegent and funny guy anyway, but in the show he does this fantastic segment all about dating. What is so funny about it is so much of it is spot on!

He talks about dating from both the male  and female perspective, and makes a great observation about something I tell you ladies all the time. It takes an amazing amount of courage to go out with a man on a date. Especially if it’s a man you don’t really know that well.

But here’s the thing…

Just like the guys, so many of you are so worried about what to say, how to say it, and how to know what he’s thinking, you forget to enjoy the moment. I mean, a date should be fun right?

It’s two people getting to know each other, having some fun, and enjoying the experience. You need to spend less time in your head, and more time in the moment. Dating should be an enjoyable, learning experience, not something to be feared.
