David, I was impressed with Steve Jobs and how he lived his life. For me, I wake up every morning and know its going to be a great day. I will be doing something new. I remember the day I adopted this attitude. It was the day my twin sister past away. She was my only sister and I was going through her affairs. She wrote a letter to me saying how proud she was of me and wish I could be braver. She said the only think that was stopping me was fear. Little did I know at the time, that letter was going to be my inspiration. When my marriage fell apart six years later, I kept that letter in my purse. It gave me the courage to seek help, work on myself, and realize a new chapter of my life is beginning. Every time I face one of my fears, I look up and say "This is for you sis". Now being single for four years, Im ready to face another fear and thats dating. It gave me courage to purchase your products. I wouldnt spend my last day at the bars. When there is so many other things to do. Last night, I went to an Art Show and met many wonderful people.

When you talk about Steve Jobs, you almost have to talk about vision. The man didn't need a focus group because he knew what we wanted when even we didn't know what we wanted. Even as recently as the iPad, people were joking about how quickly it was going to fail, but now the iPad has like 80% of the tablet market share. He had a destination in mind, and he got there no matter what people said. He broke down the barriers of what products were supposed to be because he knew what was better. In the end, he was incredibly handsomely rewarded for it. People may say you're a fool for trying to improve your dating life. They may say that if you need help, you're beyond help because you're either born with it or you aren't. You know what? Fuck them. If you have a vision and determination, you can change. You can be successful with women. Just don't start wearing dad jeans and black turtlenecks.

Actually all the Steve Jobs talk kind of depresses me. What a luxury it is to have that type of genius talent to say hey I think I'm going to start a billion dollar company called Apple from my garage, after dropping out of college. Many of us have read the positive quotes too when we were 17 and worked hard too, dotting all the i's crossing all the t's and still won't come close to do any one of the things he did. He also was behind Pixar and Next.

That would be great thing to do,but when you get out of the comfort zone and act like you don't give a shit,and if things go against your wishes,that makes you feel bad,lose your confidence,start thinking negatively about you,although you acting like it doesn't matter.Every time I do that but if something go wrong,or somebody said something about you or laughted about you,I feel bad,I can't change it,and I'm loosing my confidence.It's not that easy.

If it was the last day of my life I would try to find all the influential people in my life and thank them for everything and then ride it out with the family and friends. I really think Steve Jobs is an amazing guy and a visionary at that, but he really screwed us over in the dating world. Think about it...The iPod, iPhone, iPad. All things that hurt actual communication and face to face conversations. So many people from this generation cannot keep a conversation longer than a couple mins without checking their phone and I hate that I'm going to be labeled with this generation. It really sucks that we have to rely on people like David Wygant to help us communicate because even though I'm very greatful for everything he does for us, we shouldn't need him. the society we've grown up in has destroyed social interactions because of all the new developments in technology. Technology makes us more creative and innovative as individuals but kills our ability to communicate in person and Steve Jobs had a huge role in that.

Everything we have and own, we won't be able to take it with us when we're gone. If today were my last day I'd give everything I own to as many people as I could find. I'd run through the entire city and just give everything away. People would remember that, even if they never knew me. There's a truth in that it IS better to give than receive. And yes, this even applies to dating and relationships.

Intern Dan, what martial arts did you take, black belt here. Gotta agree with David S on tech really killing social interactions, more people stay in and chat on skype or go text a limited group of people what they're doing. If we couldn't do that we'd have to be social otherwise we'd have no plans and no friends. As for what I would do on my last day, give away my possesions, try to make the world a better place, push out of my shell and ask out the hottest girl i could find. I'd do everything i could just to make my last day the best one yet.

KC, I've taken Japanese jiu jitsu but I'd love to master Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It's just so incredible what they do in it. I'm not as big on the striking but I'd probably go muay thai if I had to. As far as the tech thing goes, yes technology has changed things and even changes us and becomes masters of us. But I want you to think about the amazing advantages that technology gives you in dating. A woman is used to having a guy get her number so he can text her or getting her facebook. When you come in and get her number and actually call her to ask her out, you've shown you're different and are able to connect with her on a deeper level than most other guys, just by default. Trust me on this, women notice the difference between the guy who texts and the guy who calls. I've been both guys and the difference between calling and texting is the guy who gets the girl and the guy who doesn't.

I agree to disagree with David S., thank god for David Wygant, it is great he has this website and the bigger picture to me is that he is teaching me to take what I learn here and apply it to social settings. Computers are a great tool for me but if I am smart I won't let it consume me 24/7 or at least try not to. As Shogo said before it is a delicate balance. I think everyone knows what I want to do on my last day, lol. sorry, not going to happen to the person i ranted at on the previous blog, please read eric's response on the post before, its just not possible please stop. i don't want to hurt you but this is seriously ridiculous, you don't want people to be together were the attraction is there for one but not the other. Girls can laugh and have fun with people does not mean they like them. like eric said there has to be a romantic undercurrent. its not about the chase or trying to get the girl, its no fun, i can't stand it, why the hell do you think i left, cause i like you? the answer is no, the thing i want most for you is to be happily married, i think i would be the happiest person alive if I heard that, especially with someone i think that likes you although i could be totally wrong on that...can someone do some investigation on this and tell me what they come up with becuase i want this to be over, i really really do. sorry for all this spam like conversation but its kind of serious and has driven me in and out of institutions for the past two years.

Here it goes... I worked with two people in ny, a boy and a girl, thing is I think the girl liked him and I think he liked her he just was an ass about it. They laughed and talked together, I mean perfect couple. But he seemed to follow me he creeped me out, I was never interested in him, I caught myself once, as soon as the thought came it was gone. She calledq him outside of work, I thought she was crazy but thats what happens when someone likes someone, as weird as it sounds he seemed like he was stalking me for years I can't take it anymore. The thing is she is ten times prettier and funnier than me. Why not go for her? Why stalk me? Guys seriously why bother a girl if she doesn't like, crazy right, ok so if there are two people in the picture and u like both why not date the one that likes u? I don't get it, can someone explain this?

The thing is love is blind when u like someone you read All the signs wrong, u think they like you when actually they can't stand that they like u and they don't like u frantically only as friends. U become mentally deranged, it happened to me I liked the lead singer of carbon leaf and thought he liked me too, *john shut up and stop laughing*. Teresa, Everyone wants what they can't have. I used to work with a girl and she knew I liked her but she had a boyfriend. She told me how come I don' like the other girls since they were prettier than her. I liked her cause she was more my type. Long black hair, petite and always laughed at my jokes and was a great listener. She just had this interesting look about her. It's not about looks 100% of the time.

Theresa, Again, guys can seperate how women look,but at the same time, there could be something else that intrigues me. I know it's weird. Lemme put it this way, I'm sure you've watch a fashion runway show and have seen the women modeling the clothes..Are all of them hot? No. So why are they models and why are the "not so hot ones so popular"? They have an interesting look about their face. But you said it's not about looks all the time! True, If she's "not bad" or "just a plain jane" This is when personality comes into play that makes them attractive. The story I told about the girl I worked with happened 15 years ago. I was using that story of an example to help you understand how guys think in your previous post.

Kevin, You know what I was going to respond and point out somethings I don't agree with but I am not going to, you are free to have your own opinion, if I don't agree than that is just the way it is. Big Sigh, you know what everyone: Love does suck when its not mutual, it causes revenge, fights, broken hearts, etc, etc, etc...The thing that is most important to realize is that there is other people out there...Here's the thing (yes my sometimes annoying point of view) If you do your best and you come up empty handed, maybe timing, maybe just not interested, maybe something else, who knows. There is a time to pursue something if you want to or know when to retire the glove, the jersey, whatever metaphor you want to use. Guess what, there is someone else out there waiting for you. I really do believe this. No I am not going to play a Katy Perry song, thank you very much.

I'm not really sure what this blurb has to do with dating, but Steve Jobs certainly changed how we iCommunicate. I rarely make actual phone calls anymore. It's either texting or iChat or Facetime. None of these products are unique to Apple, however I suspect they are certainly easier to use than other similar products. And isn't that what we all want, the easiest?
