Recently I posted this up on you tube and some of the you tube flamers totally took things the wrong way, what a shock right!

If a woman can't bear to hear you speak, why would you wanna be with that woman? Or any person for that matter? For how long could you put up an act? The truth is, alot of people are saying what's on their mind, but when someone else speaks, it becomes an issue. Just like freedom of speech. When someone exercises their right to freedom of speech, they're all cool about it and say what they like. But someone else exercises the same right, they raise hell. And I believe that wasn't even the entire object of the video. Flamers will flame. They can burn for all I care. This video was created to make us accept who we are as a person and not put up a show and be someone else. Don't let haters bring you down David. Your message is honest and true. Be a first rate version of yourself, not a second rate version of someone else. Be yourself...because everyone else is taken.

Dave, I've met you a few times and you're a good guy. To answer your question, my life would change immensely. I've only met a few people like that and they really seem to enjoy themselves. Of course, like with anything, there's a catch. Those that speak their minds still have to be aware of the world and those around them. I've also noticed the other extreme with guys that take that nice message a little too far. They cover it up by pretending not to care, rather than trying to learn and become more aware of the situation and those around them. So, just like with anything there's a balance to everything. Most people err too much on one side or the other...

Yeah, I like that. :) Kind of the rock star mentality. But still, it's really about having enough self respect & self love that you feel empowered enough to speak your mind without kissing other people's asses and begging & groveling. If people like you or what you say, fine, they've got good taste. If not, it's their loss, their problem, not yours. You're not going to get bent out of shape & all neurotic & shit. It's not about being a conceited, or pompous or narcissistic asshole, but simply loving & respecting yourself enough to be real about who you are and what you're about and what you want to say. I think the bottom line at the end of the day is just being yourself & being real. Treat people with respect, but don't kiss their ass. Have enough self respect & love not to. Say what you want to say wherever & whenever you want.

Just a few days ago i did that i spoke out my mind. It was a problem that occurs men and women... how to approach in bars and clubs. 2 women were also included into the conversation. I also memtioed that I dont think thats its fair that we men have to do the whole job ... i spoke out my mind and we had a great conversation and i also learned something out of it. i didnt do it intentionally it came natural. Nice seeing you in action david :D.

I believe in personal growth. If you want to change your character, then do it for you, become a better version of yourself each day. Dont ever change for the sake of others, just do it for you. Today I was at the bookstore talking to a girl who worked there. She is into astrology and I happened to have a book about astrology/horoscope in my hand. We talked about zodiac signs, and I asked her to clarify some stuff for me written about taurean males, which I am by the way. She became uneasy at one point and told me she does not want to offend me. I told her if she did, I would let her know. I said its also not right to judge a person based on what you read about their zodiac sign, because in life there are exceptions to every rule. We had a good 10 minute chat..

hi david, karl here hope your well and having a great day and another great blog i thought about that alot what it would be like talking about wats on my mind and came to this, some times i dont make a few words out right and people seem to look at me wat am i on about but thats just me i dont mind i just laugh at it but some times i think wat it would be like to say it right would girls like me more or under stand me better and agree with wats on my mind but if thats the case i would stay the same you want a women to love you for you and everthing about you not just wats on your mind. plus if your gf ever asked you how do i look in the most ugly dress you be f**ked lol david what your thoughts about saying on your mind? thanks karl

This is relative. I agree wholeheartedly that in your personal life you should say what is on your mind. In a job situation however this can get you kicked out the door. It has for me. I'd like to hear thoughts on this...

If you're a fun playful person, who sees the good in people and gives a genuine fun vibe, then by all means, speak your mind! If you're a very critical person who does not see good in people, then.... I don't recommend it. As in life, there are double standards....

If I could speak my mind, I'd say "I'm am feeling great today!" I'd say it to a stranger. And ask him "how's your day? If you're feeling down, then don't let it get you down. Be happy!". Great video David. I believe the power of speaking your mind. It shows people who you are and what you are. It makes for great conversations too. It's also about taking the initiative to make things happen. But most of all, it's about being yourself in every way. It's been said many times in your blog and products, but it never gets old when you say it again because as you said, it's important to repeat it so all of us can understand. :) Kudos to you!

Nice lead into the Self Love programme, which I enjoyed thoroughly. I agree with being one's self & proceeding from there. I also agree with "Jen", requesting a filter. Have had a "friend" trying to help myself get out more but also wanting me to change my personality to further attract the bar scene gals he's into toying with, gal's that his wife doesn't seem to mind him approching. Thanks DW for adding backbone to my belief on being true to one's own self. With friends like my "friend", who needs enema's........

My comment on " The Ugly Truth" Tue Aug 04, 2009 1:28 pm I love David's blog called " The Ugly Truth". I wanted to post a comment on it right after his blog but I didn't know where to do it. So here is my reply. In the blog couldn't come up with a nickname for what he does here. I came up with one which is basically one way you can sum it up. How about ....The Naked Truth....I think that relationships are about really getting to know some one intimately. I don't mean just sex which is an important part. It's about little by little revealing your self to someone. Revealing more little facts here and there. So that when you talk about them you really expose yourself to another person. It leaves you feeling so open and vulnerable. That naked feeling you get when you tell a detail about yourself you have never told another soul. You hope they will accept you no matter how hairy it gets. I think that's what dating really is about and why relationships can be so hard. I think that's what real intimacy is. Showing who you are and being comfortable in your own skin. However it's not always that easy. Other individuals have great difficulty with that kind of intimacy. The Naked Truth can lead to The Ugly Truth. Really fast. It can make your head spin. Someone you are crazy in love with can just suddenly withdraw because they don't know how to process that kind of depth. It leaves you alone with a lot naked ,raw, and ugly emotions to make sense of. Trying to figure out how to move past it and learn to love your reality. Hoping you can come out if it stronger then before. Easier said then done.
