For most of you, Tinder is extremely frustrating. It’s an amazing addiction though. It’s set up that way. That’s the reason why Facebook bought it. Because they knew that people would get addicted to it. Men don’t like reading profiles. Men love looking at pictures and they also knew men would constantly keep trying. It’s like gambling for days. Think about it. Tinder is set up exactly like gambling.

There’s a picture of a woman. She writes one or two little teasing words. She says “No hook up”.

Of course when you read “no hook up”, you know in your male mind that she actually does want to hook up, but she doesn’t want to validate that because she actually wants to get laid.  You send a text.  And you hope, wait, and hope, and wait, that this beauty will get back to you. She doesn’t, so what do you do? You go back on to Tinder. It’s on your mobile phone. You can Tinder anywhere you want. You can even Tinder while you’re taking a dump, which most men do.

You get back on and you continually get nothing in your inbox. Nothing at all. But yet you go back. You’ve just heard from friends they’ve actually gotten laid from Tinder. So you keep going and going and going. How do you make Tinder a success?

Here’s a couple of quick tips to make Tinder more successful.

1. Swipe right every time

Don’t even look at the picture. Just do it. You will cover more ground and get some action (even if it’s action you don’t want).

Expect nothing and whatever you get is a bonus. The name ‘Tinder’ worked. It’s as superficial as can be. If you want to succeed on Tinder, you need to do a few things differently. For one, have no expectations.

2. Write something catchy in your profile

Just something short and catchy. For me,  I write I’m an ‘international entrepreneur’.

I write my height because I’m 6’2, and superficial women want taller guys. Write down one positive, amazing trait about you. I’m killer at Scrabble. I have the skills of a ninja warrior when it comes down to negotiating the price of a car. Something that will intrigue her female brain because most guys don’t write anything.

You can also always write…“Not looking for hook up”.

Because even if she is looking for a hook up, she’s going to have sex with a guy whose not looking for a hook up. The same psychological buttons work on women as with men.

3. Respond IMMEDIATELY

The minute you get a phone number on Tinder, the minute you get a response from a girl you might be interested in, respond. I want you to immediately text her back and get the conversation rolling right away. Don’t do something like write “Hi, how are you?”

I want you to write something clever, like, “I checked out your oh-so-short profile. You look like a girl who really wants to meet a real man. If you’re not doing anything spectacular this weekend, I strongly suggest we should have a magical Boy Meets Girl moment :-)” 

The unique works over and over. The most important thing is to get out there. Throw your line in the water and see what bites. You never know when you’re going to get an amazing catch. Take action. You’re a Wygant man.
