Are you an older woman looking to date younger men?
Or maybe you’re already dating one or a few young studs.
But do you have any idea what his younger friends are actually saying behind your back?
It’s time to wake up a little bit.
Because younger men, as fun as they may be, will tend to not give you the satisfaction you probably need in the long run.
A recent podcast listener said:
“I’m dating this younger guy and it’s amazing. We have great sex. We have great chemistry but I just found out that his friends are calling me Grandma behind my back. I’m 20 years older than him, I’m not his grandmother. Why do men need to act this way?”
Here’s the issue:
When you’re dating a younger guy, you’re dating an immature man, a man that probably isn’t really relationship material for you.
I know when I was 24 years old I was the most immature man in the entire world.
Actually when I was probably 35 I was still pretty immature.
Women mature faster than men in so many of the complicated issues in life. It’s just known that way.
It doesn’t matter if you have a mature man; he still has immature man-friends that behind your back will call you Grandma or the old cougar or anything like that.
We just develop a little slower and it’s okay.
But if you truly believe that a relationship with a younger man is going to satisfy you on emotional levels for the long run, consider that it probably won’t. Maybe if he were 10 years younger, yes, but not 20 years younger.
That’s just a fling—ego validation to make you feel wonderful, whatever it may be.
So take it for what it is.
I say the same thing with men. Let me tell you something. I’m an older guy now. I could be called Grandpa in some days and ages. When I date a women that’s 20 years younger than me or 25 years younger than me, it isn’t going anywhere. We’re very different in every way, shape, and form. I don’t relate to her in the same way I’d relate to a woman 10 years and younger on all issues.
Our music tastes our different. The way we handle life is different. She doesn’t remember what it was like not to have a cell phone in her hand.
And voicemail! I still leave long voice messages.
Dating someone within 10 years of age is going to give you an opportunity to relate on a much deeper level. The rest of it is just sex.
But if it’s okay if you’re an older grandmother dating a younger guy, just don’t expect a relationship out of it.
Enjoy it for what it is.
