I just had a great conversation with a client.
We were talking a lot about inner peace and how it would have been so amazing to have that inner peace when we were younger.
When you’re in your teens and 20s and early 30s, you just don’t have enough life history behind you.
It feels like every single time something goes wrong, you enter crisis mode.
And it’s because you don’t have the perspective yet.
If something went wrong with a woman, it felt like it was the end of the world.
If you lost a business deal, it felt like it was the end of the world.
If something happened to you personally, like losing a friend or a loved one, it always felt like the end of the world.
Every experience was so new.
It’s funny because when you’re 25 years old, you actually feel like you’re old. You’ve been to college and moved out on your own. And if you haven’t been to college, you’ve been in the work world for seven years or eight years.
But really, you’re still young.
You read so much when you’re younger; you get sucked in by books; you get sucked in by other people’s experiences.
You think that you should be making more money than you really should with the work habits you have at that point in your life and the knowledge you have. There are so many things that go through your mind.
Inner peace. When does it finally come?
Inner peace finally comes when you’ve experienced enough ups and downs in your life to realize that you’re going to survive. You’re going to be okay. Things are going to work out as they always do.
Inner peace comes when you’re able to process all this stuff, and not worry so much about it, and realize that it’s just an experience.
Inner peace comes when you really know yourself and understand yourself and accept yourself for who you are, and where you’re at in your life.
If you go through turmoil, and it really feels like the end of the world, you’re doing it because you’ve never experienced it before, or you’ve never learned the lesson from previous experiences like that.
See at this stage in my life, nothing fazes me.
I’ve been through everything.
I’ve been through divorce; I’ve lost loved ones; I’ve lost money; I’ve made money.
I’ve seen it all.
Nothing fazes me. I can process through a bad moment very quickly.
I can process it through so fast that 10 minutes later I don’t even remember why I was having a bad moment in the first place.
Inner peace is basically one of the most beautiful attraction tools you have in your utility belt.
Inner peace is something that all of you are striving for. So the next time you go into crisis mode, realize there’s a greater lesson to be learned.
Experience what you’re experiencing, and know that everything is your life is happening at that moment for a reason. Start embracing the turmoil, and realize that it’s just temporary. Embrace the lesson and grow from the experience.
Trust me, you’ll get there. I never thought I would, and I’m there. And if I got there, then you can get there with no problems.
Inner peace.
What a beautiful concept for all of you to embrace.
The lessons never stop in life…even if you get to the place where you’re in an amazing relationship; even if you get to the place where your business is rocking, you’ll always want more and there will always be another lesson to learn.
But the difference is that when you have inner peace, you know that you are exactly where you should be—wherever you are.
And when you’re there, you’ll appreciate it a lot more and allow the next step to unfold as it will.
And being patient with the unfolding, loving it and knowing that it’s good for you, that will bring the peace that you’ve been seeking.
So just chill out and enjoy the ride.
