About David
1.7 million men & women come to me every month to find the secrets to success. And after 20 years of coaching, I’ve discovered the golden keys to success in dating, business, health and wellness, and life.
I’ve helped millions of men and women around the globe achieve success in their dating, social and personal lives. I’m also a father to the world’s cutest little girl, and I am an unapologetic man. Some say I’m nuts, others say I’ve changed their life forever. One thing’s for certain: I’ll always give you the truth, whether you can handle it or not. I never sugar coat anything.
Nice is so overrated. I’d prefer brutally honest breakthrough to a “nice” rut any damn day of the week. If you’re the same way, then you've come to the right place.
Hey David,
I agree with what you said but it's just sad that we have to lower ourselves to the prime-time common denominator in the first place. In the real world (when you're not surrounded by 25 gorgeous women) how do you know when someone isn't worth dating anymore, and how do you tell someone know in a mature fashion without seeming distant?
Bump to your new coach!
Thanks,
Blake

LOVED this video...You and Lawrence said everything that most rational people are thinking but wouldn't say for fear of being mobbed by angry man-hating women....
You know, I think this guy probably is a jerk too (and this woman seems not to be much of a prize), but the best thing you said was that she totally missed the fact that he DID do her a HUGE favor here...
What kind of relationship did she think they would have if he wasn't that into her, was into another woman more ... but stayed with her out of --- politeness??? C'mon....
Loved this blog (although the 5 minute video clip is more of this show than I ever want to have to suffer through again!)
Just because she was picked over 24 other women does not mean she is BETTER than them, she just had something unique to bring to the table and it was what the guy thought he wanted at the time.
I think she might have given into the make-believe notion that she was "the best" and thus she should be 'fought for.' But in reality the guy realized that after the laughable two date period of getting to know her he made a hasty decision to freakin propose to her.
The fact is there is just no way to truly love someone in such a short time and artificial setting. Once he got to know her more it just wasn't what he wanted. It burst her bubble and she couldn't deal with it.
He was an idiot for telling her the whole 'love you forever' bit though. But then again what more can you expect from this show.
I actually know Jason Mesnick, I used to work with him. He is no jerk. One of the nicest people I know. He is a fantastic guy and it is exactly how David called it... he was forced to make a decision, and he made the wrong call. It sometimes really is that simple.
And yes, he is a great communicator. Very good with his words and his body language. You could tell if he wasn't being 100% honest. But he was being honest, and he had the balls to do it on TV!

I'm not trying to be too much of a smart ass, as I type this. But people are intrigued and people care. If people didn't care, this blog wouldn't even be written! It wouldn't be on anybody's radar. The interesting thing about reality TV is that most people know it's complete crap. Nobody is denying that, but yet they still watch it and most importantly TALK about it. The "stupidity" of most characters on reality TV shows could be discussed to no end for days. Heck I don't care about the bachelor, but here I am thinking and writing about it. =P
The way I see it, hollywood ran out of ideas so they came up with these ridiculous reality shows.
What purpose does TV really serve anyway? It feeds boredom. I think it all started with the tv series "america's funniest home videos", so we can just plop down in front of the tube and watch a bunch of people make fools of themselves. And, it doesn't stop there, remember the jerry springer show?
What a piece of crap that was.
The only decent reality TV worth watching is "Cops" (ok, maybe also America's Most Wanted) and, even then, one can take only so much of morons doing the same stupid things and acting surprised when they get arrested. Thank God for Spike TV and classics like MANswers - at least it will make you laugh yourself silly after a long day/night at work. Unless David decides to go prime-time, that's as good as reality tv is going to get.
Actually K,
Cops isn't real either. One of the perks of living in LA is that you get to meet people who work on television shows, whether it be behind the scenes or in front. I once believed Cops was all real, but that all came to an end and I was no longer naive when I was at a shop where they were filming this dating show and the guy was giving the "daters" props and lines to use to make the show more entertaining. I said, I thought every move was natural on these shows. And he chuckled and said, "I know, that's what we want everyone to believe." and he went on to tell me all the "reality" shows he worked on, Cops being one of them, that were all staged acts. My eyes were opened and I vowed to never fall for television like I did. It's all entertainment, and this bachelor thing was staged as well. How else would people not care about it if it were any other way? Just like Vlad says: people do care enough to write about it. But at least we're talking crap about it, I'd rather do that than join the bandwagon of foolish broads with no lives talking about what a jerk he is, etc, etc.
Mario
And K,
I love MANswers. That show is so cool. The men with the smallest "junks" are ....drum roll.... not from China, but are asian.........India! But they're the best lovers, they wrote Kamasutra! Guys, you can get a lot of conversation starters (go-ers) from this show.
Here's another one I've actually used. The way you tell a woman apart from a man without searching for evidence between the legs is to have the girl set her hand flat on the table and if her ring finger is shorter than her index finger, it's a girl! (Actually, it's not 100% accurate).
But yeah, don't watch reality shows. David you need to have your own show. There isn't anything on television like it. Do it man!
Mario
Mac,
Penis envy what is it with you guys and sizes...we don't care at all..as long it got a vein the size of a finger running down it..;-)
Some of the sex clinics in Denmark once got a huge shipment of condoms from Asia for new years..well one problem way too small..just my take on international affairs..
I think America's Most Wanted is probably the best reality show, although I don't watch it very often. I haven't been watching that much TV lately. The Beast is excellent though.
Anyway, AMW actually does a lot of good because it helps catch criminals, like murderers, rapists, pedophiles and get them put away. It's one reality show that is very beneficial to society.
Like I said, those reality cop shows are probably as good as it's going to get - I make no claims about HOW "real" they are. Things like the Bachelor or the Bachlorette are like watching those foolish Japanese contestant game shows with subtitles. Now I'd really like to see these Bachelor type shows re-run a la Mystery Science Theater 3000 with their characters in silhouette down in the front row doing their own play-by-play. Now wouldn't THAT be fun to watch?
For the record, Dan has never watched a single minute of a tv reality show! And likely never will.
Trying to catch up, buried in work trying to survive this mother bear:-)
Imagine yourself years from now , old and grey..... sitting in your rocking chair and thinking about how much of your life was wasted on mindless drivel . Do you really want to be that person?
